Sprint: Initial Impressions
First week of living with Sprint has been... pretty good actually. They have a roaming agreement with Verizon, so that it gets coverage everywhere big red does (though not 3G). In Boston and down here in NJ, 3G has been very quick, decently comparable to broadband (think an ok/weaker broadband connection - but not bad). The only downside is that when you are driving and you switch between Sprint and Verizon (roaming) the call gets dropped.
And one nice feature? In my continued quest against voicemail and how cell phone companies screw users.... over..... by..... making...... voicemail...... take.... twenty.... times..... longer.... than.... it.... should...... Sprint actually lets you shut off the standard message for when someone is leaving you a vmail - so anyone who calls me should just get my name and a beep - I think.
