Left Lane Driving Laws

Quick graphical summary of laws about driving in the left lane and making me wish my truck was armed with rocket launchers causing traffic and accidents. Does it come as any surprise that in the North East, Maine and Mass have weak laws, while out west Utah has practically no law at all. Anyone from out west knows the "Utah Block" that unbelievably annoying habit of weird cultish mormons Utahns (one of the strangest looking words in the English language) of sitting 3 or 4 abreast across multi-lane highways, completely blocking you from getting by in any lane, for mile after mile.

There are a lot of shitty drivers out there. Actually, most people are shitty drivers. They don't really know anything about cars, about driving, about limits of adhesion, how to react when things go badly, or what snow does to your ability to drive. In fact, most people think that driving slowly, regardless of what lane you are in, whether you are merging onto a highway or holding up 50 cars behind you, means "being a good driver." Just because you have spent many years driving in the left lane at 65mph does not make you a good driver, in fact, just the opposite. A good driver means you know how to drive, not that you have gotten lucky or simply average for the past 10 years. Personally, I would love to see a class in high school devoted to driving. 78% Of Prius owners trade it in... for something else

Turns out most people don't think looking green is worth the sacrifice of owning a shitty, expensive car. Only 1/3rd of hybrid owners buy another one. Please, no more, I can't take it anymore Good news for the electric revolution? Not really. As I have been saying for years - the Prius has absolutely no logical economic value. There are other cars which are cheaper, better, and with similar fuel economy, or at least with good enough fuel economy that the price premium for the prius makes no damn sense. And the numbers show that: hybrid loyalty has fluctuated very little over the last 6 years, while gas prices have moved all over the place. In other words - buying a hybrid has nothing to do with logic. Shocking.
