Lets try to be on the right side on this one..

Kyrgyzstan is in the middle of a major upheaval, as thousands of protesters have stormed the national TV broadcast center and have attempted to enter the presidential palace. The President took off in his jet and flew for cover earlier in the day, the opposition seems to be gaining the upper hand, and the police have gotten out of control killing between 17 and 100 protesters after firing on them with live rounds.

Turns out that the government is known for being corrupt, frequently abusing civil rights, and using massive fraud in order to "easily win elections."

They are also a US "ally" and we have a major base there which we use for the Afghan war, which we almost lost due to behind-the-scenes pressure from Russia (saved by us agreeing to pay a lot more rent).

Sadly, with the nation in protest, police killing civilians, and the sham of a government in full retreat, this was the response from the US embassy: “[we are] deeply concerned about reports of civil disturbances.”

Yeah...

"deeply concerned" about "reports" of "civil disturbance"? How about "we condemn" these "acts of agression" against "unarmed civilians" seeking "legitimate democracy"?

The US government does this all the damn time: a single-minded pursuit of a single objective. Currently, that objective is winning in Afghanistan, so we will support the near-dictator in Kyrgyzstan to do so. No matter that entails condoning the suppression of democracy in central asia when the whole damn point of our occupation of Afghanistan is to build democracy in central asia. AAARRRGGG.

Hopefully the US comes around and pulls its NATO base out of its ass and realizes that we should be supporting democracy, but I don't have much faith really.
