78% Of Prius owners trade it in... for something else
Turns out most people don't think looking green is worth the sacrifice of owning a shitty, expensive car.
Only 1/3rd of hybrid owners buy another one.
Good news for the electric revolution? Not really. As I have been saying for years - the Prius has absolutely no logical economic value. There are other cars which are cheaper, better, and with similar fuel economy, or at least with good enough fuel economy that the price premium for the prius makes no damn sense.
And the numbers show that: hybrid loyalty has fluctuated very little over the last 6 years, while gas prices have moved all over the place. In other words - buying a hybrid has nothing to do with logic. Shocking.
