Some of you may know my personal crusade against voicemail. While at times it is necessary, it is just about the most frustrating thing in the world to retrieve. The playback of one 10 second message takes at least 30 seconds, to listen to 5 messages can take seemingly forever. Short of getting an iPhone for its visual voicemail, there seemed to be nothing you could do.

Until I found youmail.com

The site basically intervenes between you and your cellphone service provider, redirecting voicemail to its system. The system then sends you a text with info about the voicemail. You can listen to it over the phone, or go to the website and listen to it there. There are even voice to text features.

My crusade is officially over. Please leave all the voicemails you wish. I will even listen to them in a timely manner.

There are a lot of shitty drivers out there. Actually, most people are shitty drivers. They don't really know anything about cars, about driving, about limits of adhesion, how to react when things go badly, or what snow does to your ability to drive.
