One camera, everything you need

Right now, woot.com  has one of the best cameras out there. The Panasonic Lumix offers pretty much everything that you need. I have one as my second camera (after my dSLR), and it takes fantastic pictures, shoots HD movies, has image stabilization, and a 12x optical zoom - which means you never need to worry about being too far away. Sure, it is a little bigger than most other point and shoot cameras, but that's the price of a camera which does everything.

They don't really know anything about cars, about driving, about limits of adhesion, how to react when things go badly, or what snow does to your ability to drive.
