UAW calls CEO Pay "morally wrong"

Here's a hilarious one. The new chief of the UAW, just before negotiations start with Ford, has called Mullaly's compensation (he earned about $55 million because Ford did so well this year) "morally corrupt". Which is kind of hilarious - because this is coming from the head of one of the most morally corrupt organizations in the US. The UAW helped cause the downfall of the Big 3, played a central role really. And when a CEO comes along who is turning around a car company which for a long time was unable to really get on its feet (remember - Ford was not doing well in 2005 or 2006 let alone 2008 or 2009), they call paying the man who keeps them all employed "morally corrupt."

Goddamn do I hate the UAW.

Turns out most people don't think looking green is worth the sacrifice of owning a shitty, expensive car. Only 1/3rd of hybrid owners buy another one. Please, no more, I can't take it anymore Good news for the electric revolution? Not really. As I have been saying for years - the Prius has absolutely no logical economic value. There are other cars which are cheaper, better, and with similar fuel economy, or at least with good enough fuel economy that the price premium for the prius makes no damn sense. And the numbers show that: hybrid loyalty has fluctuated very little over the last 6 years, while gas prices have moved all over the place. In other words - buying a hybrid has nothing to do with logic. Shocking.
