Always liked airships, thought that they got a bad rap for the last 80 years. This is a modern Boeing design meant to operate something like a helicopter, or really in place of one, with a 40 ton lifting capacity and a range of 200 miles, same range as a Chinook, but 4 times the payload, and of course fuel efficiency benefits.

Callout today to the product over on Woot.com Have been using this little guy for a while now, and I am a big fan. It is pretty durable so far, has a good rechargeable battery, and a good screen so you can see what you are playing *cough* *cough* *apple sucks* *cough* *cough*... and it has all the normal good features such as an equalizer and ability to set songs in folders. Doomsday Bunkers for What? "Preppers" Are Idiots

Recently I wrote about the 10 best doomsday survival shelters in the world . These make sense - they are for continuity of government, they are so mankind will survive, they are all about long-term planning or strategic defense. But, I just came across a brand new show on Discovery - "Doomsday Bunkers" - and it's stupid. Interesting, but stupid. It turns out that there is a whole community of people out there who believe Y2K is still coming think Fallout 3, the Book of Eli, or Mad Max is just around the corner.
