There is a very disturbing trend in this country, a trend where people replace the concept of exchanging money for goods and services with the concept of having a right to something because you "need it." ObamaCare was a big step in that direction, but there are other troubling signs of the times. To really understand this issue, and why it leads to a society which fails rather than succeeds - read Atlas Shrugged. Really. It is more pertinent today than at any time in the last 30 years. While reading an article on the Gates Foundation--the largest charity organization in the world--I came across a disturbing line of argument. ObamaCare is one of the worst bills ever to be passed in this country. It was sold under lies (half the costs were packaged into a different bill, and assumptions like "no company would shift employees to govt. helthcare" and "this will causes a minimal increase in premiums" were made). Now, Kathleen Sebelius, who I despise and you should, has come out with what ObamaCare is really about. No shock here, it is about using political power to shakedown an industry the Democrats hate, and transform it from a marketplace to a political monopoly. from the WSJ: Sebelius Has a List Political thuggery from HHS. Saw my first Tesla Roadster on the road today. How was it driving? Badly. It kept braking and then speeding up, which cant have been good for that short range... regardless, somwhat interesting, as electric cars do makes sense in the long run. Also, sorry for the lack of updates, just started an MBA program, going to take some time to get back up to speed.

Back in the day, UFOs were not all that crazy an idea. It was widely accepted that they were real, and a real threat. That was the 1940's. Then the world went UFO crazy in the 50's, a lot of lies were told, the Cold War really got going, and eventually everyone believed that UFOs were just weather balloons, Russians, and secret government projects. Actually believing in UFOs and--ohymgosh--aliens, was considered totally unacceptable and crazy. I simply ask, if you believe this, why do you believe it? On what basis? According to what information? Have you examined why you believe this? Personally, I like explanations that make the most sense, that follow Occams Razor, that don't involve consistently trying to twist credible reports and evidence to fit improbable solutions.
