One of the overriding themes of the Obama Administration has been abject hatred towards executive pay. Celebrities and athletes should continue to be paid $5-$50 million a year through a recession, but for a CEO who creates jobs, drives the economic recovery and achieves real gains to do so is criminal. The anti-competitive Ayn Randian hatred of those better than you is right at the surface these days. Now, Government Motors has to hire a new CEO. They want someone from outside GM. I want to watch this one. Who is willing to work for 500 different bosses (the US Senate., the UAW, Obama and Obama's team of political thugs) with no clear objective: are you meant to be building better cars? Saving American jobs? Is the company a company or a welfare program like Amtrak, the Long Island Railroad, Fannie and Freddie, and the Post Office? Ford makes some great vehicles in Europe. And finally, they are coming over here. Specifically, I am talking about the fantastic Mondeo (one of the best sedans in the world), the Fiesta (one of the best small cars in the world - and a global bestseller for years), the C-Max (upsized tall wagon fiesta), and the Transit (delivery van). I normally like the BBC. I read them regularly, and for a government agency, I generally respect their independent viewpoint and editorial integrity. Except on climate change. I have almost never seen such biased and slanted coverage of the issue. The BBC is the ultimate fanboy for human caused climate change with constant articles about how the world is about to end and huge amounts of spin on anything such as the CRU email debacle. From their idiotic calculator I played with not long ago which gave alternative energy as the cheapest energy source for all of the UK's energy needs in 2020 to their unending stream of articles on trying to cover up the huge failure the CRU, they seem to be a organ of the UN and IPCC rather than independent news. Their coverage of the CRU emails is pretty funny. In a not very good sign, GM has fired their new CEO who came in to replace Rick Wagoneer after Obama asked Rick to step down. In this case there is no detail yet on why the firing/leaving took place. There is some speculation that he was fired by his UAW overlords for not taking his second required 45minute break of the day, exclaiming "aren't two 15minute breaks, a 45minute break and a 2hr lunch enough already???" The second part of that story, it must be said, has not been corroborated.

The "global consensus" on climate change is increasingly being exposed for what it is: a sham. Thanks in part to the recent hacking of emails at one of the centers for climate shamatoligy, the skeptics so long lambasted and blacklisted are now having their rightful say.
